About Iris
Iris is an AI-powered wedding planning assistant at planwithiris.com. Iris helps newly engaged couples plan their wedding by organizing vendors, tracking budgets, building timelines, and drafting vendor communications — all through a conversational AI interface.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when using Iris:
- Account information (name, email address) collected at sign-up via Clerk
- Wedding details you share in conversation (names, date, location, guest count, budget)
- Vendor information you track through the app
- Conversation history with the Iris assistant
- Optional: Gmail connection for vendor email tracking (if you choose to connect)
- Optional: Pinterest or Instagram URLs you share for aesthetic analysis
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Iris wedding planning service
- To personalize Iris's recommendations based on your wedding details and preferences
- To maintain your conversation history and vendor tracker across sessions
- To send reminders and updates relevant to your wedding planning (if you opt in)
Third-Party Services
Iris uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Clerk — authentication and account management
- Supabase — secure database storage for your wedding data
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI model powering the Iris assistant
- Tavily — web search for vendor discovery
- Google (Gmail API) — only if you connect Gmail; used to scan for vendor replies
Your conversation data may be processed by Anthropic to generate responses. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Disconnect any third-party integrations (e.g. Gmail) at any time from your profile
